Kevin Knopf MD MPH has extensive experience in the medical field. Their career began in 1997 as a Fellow in Medical Oncology at the National Cancer Institute (NCI). In 2000, they began working as a Hematologist/Oncologist at Annapolis Oncology Center. From 2006 to 2013, they worked in private practice as a Hematologist/Oncologist. In 2013, they were appointed as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Dartmouth-Hitchcock. In 2014, they became the Chief Medical Officer at Cancer Commons. From 2017 to 2018, they worked as an Associate Professor of Pharmacoeconomics at the University of South Carolina. In 2018, they were appointed as the Division Chief of Hematology/Oncology at Alameda Health System, where they were responsible for broad practice in all aspects of Hematology and Oncology, as well as teaching Residents and Medical Students and conducting health services research. In 2019, they began working as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. In 2021, they were appointed as the Chief Medical Officer at Cadex Genomics.

Kevin Knopf MD MPH obtained their BS in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1988. Kevin then attended the University of California, San Francisco, where they obtained their MD in 1992. Afterward, they completed their Internship and Residency at Northwestern University's Internal Medicine Residency Program from 1992 to 1996. In 1996, they completed their MPH in Epidemiology / Health Services Research from The Johns Hopkins University.
