Simon Ancona Cbe

Simon Ancona CBE currently serves as the Director of Global Naval Market Development at CAE since November 2022. Prior to this role, Simon Ancona held the position of Chief Executive Officer at The Whitehall & Industry Group from February 2019 to November 2022. Simon Ancona's experience includes serving as Chief Operating Officer for Network Rail (2017-2019) and Assistant Chief of Defence Staff (Defence Engagement) at the UK Ministry of Defence (October 2013 - March 2017), where responsibilities included formulating defence engagement policies and strategies. Additionally, Simon Ancona commanded the UK Maritime Forces in the Middle East as UK Maritime Commander from November 2011 to September 2013 and served in various leadership roles within the Royal Navy, including Commander of the UK Carrier Strike Group and Commanding Officer of multiple ships. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Defence Studies from King's College London.
