Alejandra Botero currently serves as Gerente de Planeación e Impacto al Desarrollo at CAF - banco de desarrollo de América Latina since October 2022. Prior to this role, Botero was Directora del Departamento Nacional de Planeación at Departamento Nacional de Planeación from August 2021 to August 2022 and held the position of Advisor to the President of Colombia for accountability and delivery at the Presidencia de la República de Colombia from September 2018 to August 2021. Earlier experience includes serving as Asesora para la Presidencia de la República and Senior Executive in Public Sector for CAF from October 2014 to September 2018, and as Co-Founder and Director of Impact Hub Caracas from October 2011 to October 2014. Educational qualifications include an MBA from Columbia Business School, a Master's in Innovation Management from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Political Science from Swarthmore College.
