Ayanda Matomela has extensive experience in the culinary field. From 2018 to 2019, Ayanda worked as a CDP at The Liz McGrath Collection, managing and running the Veg and Garnish section of the restaurant. They also contributed to the creative process with the head chef for a 9-course fine dining menu. From 2020 to 2021, Ayanda worked as a Chef at JAN Group, where they managed different sections of the kitchen, including pastry, savory dishes, and sauces. They were passionate about working with fresh, high-quality produce. Currently, Ayanda is the Head Chef - Collaborator at Cafe Noir, starting in March 2022.
Ayanda Matomela attended the Silwood School of Cookery from 2017 to 2019. During this time, Ayanda did not pursue any specific degree or field of study. Prior to that, Ayanda enrolled in the Wilderness Foundation in 2014 and completed a Certificate in Hospitality Administration/Management in 2015.
