Owen Morgan has extensive experience in IT management and operations. Owen currently serves as the VP of DevOps at CafeX Communications, where they have led the deployment of an Intelligent Security Solution for the CFX Challo public cloud platform. Owen has successfully increased cloud efficiencies, reducing ongoing costs by 45% within a year. Owen manages the live and internal environments, which have been migrated entirely to the cloud, resulting in the closure of the on-premise datacenter. Owen implemented a GITOPS methodology, significantly reducing deployment times and achieving zero downtime for the latest developments. Owen began their career at Yuasa Battery Europe Ltd as an IS Engineer, where they provided support and implemented various IT infrastructure projects. Owen Morgan obtained a Bachelor's degree (Honours) in Information Technology from the University of South Wales from 2002 to 2006. Prior to that, from 1995 to 2002, they attended Heolddu, where they achieved A Level Computing grade C, Engineering grade B, C & G Programming, and 9 G.C.S.E grade A to C in the field of Computing.
In addition to their formal education, Owen Morgan has obtained several certifications. Owen obtained the "Developing Application using Cisco Core Platforms & APIs" certification from Cisco in July 2022. Owen also holds the "MCPS: Microsoft Certified Professional" certification from Microsoft, which they obtained in December 2012. In April 2012, they obtained the "MCSA: Windows Server 2008" certification from Microsoft.
