Thomas Mahoney, CFA®, CAIA has extensive experience in the finance industry, starting as an Investment Advisor at E.F. Hutton & Co. in 1987. Thomas then moved on to Kidder Peabody before becoming a Vice President at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. From 2004, they worked as a Private Wealth Advisor at UBS. In 2015, they took on leadership roles at CFA Society Los Angeles and CAIA Association, where they founded educational programs and events for members of both organizations, showcasing their expertise in wealth management and alternative investments.

Thomas Mahoney, CFA®, CAIA started their education journey by earning a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1981. Thomas later pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School between 1985 and 1987. In 2016, they obtained a Certificate of completion in Private Equity and Venture Capital (PEVC) program from Harvard Business School Executive Education. In addition to their degrees, Thomas Mahoney holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification obtained in 2001 and a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) obtained in 2009.
