Karen Pedraza

Karen Pedraza is an experienced Immigrant’s Rights Attorney currently serving at CAIR-Sacramento Valley / Central California since September 2022. With a strong focus on both affirmative applications and removal defense, Karen has prepared various legal submissions including naturalization and asylum applications, represented clients in immigration court, and provided extensive training to paralegals. Previous roles include Staff Attorney at Opening Doors, where Karen managed numerous removal cases, and positions at the University of California, Davis School of Law and the ACLU of Northern California, where research and support for immigrant legal issues were emphasized. Karen holds a JD from the University of California, Davis and a BA in History from Saint Mary's College of California.
