Gwennael Freydt

Gwennael Freydt, CFA, is a seasoned investment professional with extensive experience in portfolio management and quantitative equities. Currently serving as a Portfolio Manager for Quant equities and Multimanagement at Groupe Caisse des Dépôts since April 2020, Gwennael previously held the position of Vice President and Portfolio Manager at State Street Global Advisors from January 2015 to March 2020, where responsibilities included managing Smart Beta and ESG funds and developing custom investment solutions for institutional clients. Prior experience includes serving as an Investment Engineer at Candriam, where Gwennael focused on enhancing investment processes and developing systematic strategies, as well as positions as an Equity Research Analyst at CM-CIC Securities and an Analyst in Funds of Hedge Funds at Natixis Asset Management during gap years. Gwennael Freydt holds a Master of Science in Financial Markets with a major in Asset Management from EDHEC Business School.
