Carlos Coutinho, PhD, PMP has extensive experience in research, academia, and project management. In addition, they completed a Post-Graduation in Project Management at Instituto Superior Bissaya Barreto from 2009 to 2010. Prior to that, Carlos earned a Licentiate degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from ISEL - Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa from 1994 to 1997, and a Bachelor's degree in the same field from the same institution from 1990 to 1994. Carlos also attended Escola Secundária D. Pedro V from 1989 to 1990, where they completed their high school education with a focus on software. Carlos has additional certifications, including Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals and Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals, which were obtained in 2022. Carlos obtained their Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification from the Project Management Institute in 2010 and has an ECDL - European Computer Driver's Licence from ICDL Europe in 2005. Caixa Mágica Software (CMS) is a Portuguese SME company, leader in the open source market segments in Portugal. It provides multiple services which include specialised business consulting, development of software projects, training and certification, research and innovation.
