Miguel Roque

Miguel Roque's work experience includes being an AI Lab Lead at Caixa Mágica Software starting in January 2024. Prior to that, they worked as a Team Leader (Data and Machine Learning) for a project with DGLAB at the same company, where their team used NLP techniques for Named Entity Recognition and Disambiguation. Miguel also has experience as a Machine Learning Associate Engineer at Syone and as a Researcher at Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT), where they developed an Android app and a Django API for the health sector. Miguel has also worked as a Frontend Developer at World Digital Clinic and as a Collaborator at SystemsGroup - Junior Enterprise.

Miguel Roque's education history includes a Licentiate degree in Engenharia Informática e de Computadores from Instituto Superior Técnico, which they completed from 2017 to 2020. Prior to that, they pursued a Curso Básico in Música from Conservatório de Música e Artes do Dão from 2009 to 2014. In 2020, Miguel also attended a Summer Course on IoT in the health sector at Instituto Politécnico de Viseu. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Science degree in Engenharia Informática e de Computadores at Instituto Superior Técnico, which they started in 2020 and is expected to complete in 2022.
