Gustavo Valverde is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in corporate governance and legal affairs across multiple organizations. Currently serving as a member of the board of directors for Norte Saneamento, Caixa Consórcio, Caixa Vida e Previdência, and Wiz Co, Gustavo has also been a partner at VMB Jurídica since May 2019. Previously, Gustavo held prominent roles at Braskem, including Global General Counsel and VP of Corporate Governance, overseeing a global legal team and handling M&A transactions, corporate law, and external affairs across the Americas and Europe. Additional experience includes leading legal departments at OEC and White & Case LLP, with a strong focus on strategic litigation and project finance. Gustavo holds a Master of Laws from Columbia University and is an alumnus of The Wharton School.
