Antoni Sureda-Gomila has extensive work experience in the banking and financial industry. Antoni began their career as an Intern at Endesa in 1999, followed by a role as a Software Developer at Tecnocom from 2000 to 2002. In 2004, they served as a Consultant at the European Investment Bank. Antoni then joined Financial Innovations as an Analyst in 2006. From 2007 to 2008, Antoni worked as a Credit Risk Modeler at Banc Sabadell. Antoni later joined CaixaBank, where they held various roles including Credit Risk Modeler and Head of Credit Risk Metrics. Currently, they serve as the Head of Regulated Credit Risk Models at CaixaBank as of January 2019. Antoni also has experience in academia, having worked as an Instructor and Research Assistant at Universitat Pompeu Fabra from 2003 to 2007.

Antoni Sureda-Gomila obtained a BSc in Mathematics from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in 2000. Antoni then pursued graduate studies in quantitative finance at the same institution from 2000 to 2001. In 2002, they enrolled in the Universitat Pompeu Fabra and completed an MSc in Economics in 2003. Antoni continued their education at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, earning a PhD in Finance from 2003 to 2010. During their academic journey, Antoni Sureda-Gomila also spent time as an Honorary Fellow at the Wisconsin School of Business in 2006, and as a Visiting Fellow at Harvard University in the same year, both in the field of Finance.
