Shijie Liang

Shijie Liang has a diverse work experience starting from 2011. Shijie began as an Accounts and Audit Intern at L Y Leong & Company, where they performed various accounting services and assisted with external audits. In 2011, they also joined Deloitte & Touche as part of the FAS - Forensic Services team, where they worked on data analytics projects and assisted with forensic due diligence and company investigations.

Shijie then moved on to PwC Singapore in 2016, initially joining their Assurance team. Shijie performed financial statement audits for companies in industries such as aviation, industrial manufacturing, shipping, and real estate.

At PwC Singapore, Shijie progressed from Assurance Associate to Assurance Senior Associate and eventually became an Assurance Assistant Manager. During their time there, they managed and led audit engagements, gaining experience in financial statement audits.

Most recently, in 2022, Shijie joined Cake DeFi as a Finance Manager, bringing their expertise in financial management and analysis to the company.

Shijie Liang's education history is as follows:

Shijie Liang obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy from Nanyang Technological University Singapore, which they pursued from 2014 to 2017. Following that, they pursued a Professional Qualification as an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) from ICAEW, which they completed between 2017 and 2020. In 2009, Shijie Liang earned a Diploma with Merit in Accountancy from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, which they completed in 2012. Prior to that, they attended Chung Cheng High School (Main) from 2005 to 2008.

In terms of additional certifications, Shijie Liang obtained the title of Business and Finance Professional (BFP) from ICAEW in November 2021. Shijie also received the certification for completing the course "CS50: Introduction to Computer Science" from Harvard University in July 2021. Furthermore, they gained expertise in SQL: Data Reporting and Analysis through a certification from LinkedIn in June 2021. Shijie Liang is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Quantic School of Business and Technology, which they started in 2021 and is expected to complete in 2022. Finally, they are set to obtain the CA (Singapore) certification from the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) in January 2023.
