Ken Garnett has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several companies and industries. Ken started their career in 1984 as a Senior Scientist and Manager of Graphics Software R&D at Unicad, Inc. where they directed the development of 3-D computer graphics for mechanical computer-aided design software. Ken then moved on to Network Computing Devices, Inc. in 1992, where they served as a Software Engineer & Development Manager and later as Manager of Technical Strategy, overseeing the development and research of new products.
In 2000, Ken joined Luxxon Corp as the Director of Technical Marketing, contributing to the start-up's development of carrier-grade 3G-wireless multimedia infrastructure. Ken played a key role in product positioning, competitive analysis, and establishing strategic alliances.
From 2002 to 2011, Ken served as CEO of Gold Nation Properties, Inc., a company focused on purchasing, renovating, and flipping residential homes in the San Francisco Bay area. Ken also provided assistance to commercial real estate investors, offering services such as property valuations and introductions to private funding sources.
In 2005, Ken joined Cal.net, Inc. and took on various leadership roles. Ken started as the Chief Technology Officer and Chief Financial Officer, implementing new technologies and raising significant growth capital for the company. Later, they were promoted to Chief Operating Officer, guiding all operations and restructuring the company for exponential growth. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Strategy Officer at Cal.net, responsible for formulating and communicating the company's strategic initiatives and future goals.
Throughout their career, Ken has demonstrated their ability to drive growth, establish strategic partnerships, and lead teams successfully.
Ken Garnett attended the Colorado School of Mines from 1973 to 1978, where they studied physics, geophysics, and metallurgy.
