Scholar Mentor at Cal Poly Partners

Britney Hong is currently a Scholar Mentor at Cal Poly Corporation, where responsibilities include guiding 20 first-year students through their academic and social challenges while collaborating with fellow mentors. As an Active Member of Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity, Britney hosts philanthropy events to support SLO Casa and engages with organizations focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Upcoming internships with RSM and KPMG as an Assurance Intern and Audit Intern, respectively, are anticipated in 2024. Britney also serves as the Vice President of Finance for The Women's Network, overseeing fundraising initiatives and financial matters, and as Vice President of Firm Relations for the Cal Poly Accounting Club, where interactions with business faculty and accounting firms have furthered understanding of the industry. Completing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management and Anthropology at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, Britney previously earned a high school diploma from Granada Hills Charter.

Cal Poly Partners is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and is one of 90 auxiliaries within the California State University system. In this capacity, the cal Poly Partners helps Cal Poly retain earnings, lessen risks, make investments, sell assets and hire employees. And we do all of this to help Cal Poly continually evolve as the world-class educational experience that it has come to be known. The corporation is 100 percent self-supporting and receives no state funding. Operating costs are covered by administrative fees charged to units the corporation supports.
