David Alexander (Chart.PR, FCIPR) is an experienced public relations professional with a diverse background in media and communications. As the Managing Director and founder of Calacus PR since 2008, David focuses on purpose-driven storytelling to foster positive societal change. David has held significant roles including International Media Manager for Laureus, where responsibilities involved managing press events and maximizing media exposure for international sports awards. Previous positions as Account Director at Porter Novelli and Hill and Knowlton featured work for high-profile clients in sports and business. David's extensive experience also includes freelance journalism, where contributions were made to major publications, as well as a solid foundation in communications management at Berkeley Group and production at BBC News. David holds a BA (Hons) in Cultural Studies from the University of Portsmouth and has completed a course in newspaper journalism.
