The Opportunity

Cala Health is seeking a Senior Manager, Downstream Marketing to join our growing team. This Senior Manager is responsible for developing and driving key marketing and business objectives for Cala’s Product Portfolio, with a focus on downstream marketing and commercial execution. This includes involvement in building and refining the commercial strategy while helping to expand adoption and utilization of Cala solutions. This person demonstrates a high level of strategic thinking, business acumen and has experience with product launches and commercialization and promotion of medical devices (Class II/Class III preferred). This Senior Manager will report to the Senior Director, Product & Commercial and will not have any direct reports.

A Day in the Life

  • Develop marketing plan and drive execution to meet organizational objectives
  • Leverage marketing capabilities (market assessment, segmentation, product positioning, message development, channel identification, tactic creation, etc.) to drive commercialization
  • Support sales initiatives through targeting, education, and collateral/resource development
  • Partner with product, sales and medical affairs to develop content and tools to support marketing plan execution
  • Continuously measure the impact of marketing initiatives and drive continuous improvement
  • Responsible for the integrated marketing channel mix (digital, social media, PR, congresses, etc.) as well as the LAR process
  • Monitor and manage activities related to the competitive landscape
  • Conduct VOC and market research to support initiatives and utilization for commercial strategy
  • Support customer engagement activities including journeys and gather feedback on ongoing marketing initiatives 
  • Spend time in field sales to gain market and clinical insights while building relationships with internal / external customers

Skills and Experience

We are looking for a leader who can thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment. 

  • Bachelor's degree in business and/or life sciences required; Advanced degree (MBA preferred)
  • Minimum 6 years of Marketing and Product Management experience in a regulated industry required
  • Downstream marketing and/or product launch experience required
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and resourcefulness
  • Strong understanding of the complexities of the medical device market and customer needs; DME experience a plus
  • Ability to develop, rationalize, and present strategy while also being detail oriented to manage day-to-day logistics and administrative responsibilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and partner with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
