Sam Laptad

Sam Laptad, CFA, serves as the VP Senior Research Analyst at Calamos Investments since June 2016, where responsibilities include supporting the firm's U.S. investment strategies and conducting in-depth research in the technology sector. Prior experience at Calamos includes roles as Senior and Research Analyst focused on Consumer Discretionary and Staples sectors, contributing to flagship mutual funds through fundamental analysis and equity selection. Earlier internships at the William K. Warren Foundation and NewView Oklahoma provided foundational experience in equity research, while a summer internship at Calamos involved learning valuation methods. Laptad co-owned Laptad Bros Lawn Care, establishing and marketing the business during a formative period. Educational credentials include a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Dartmouth College, obtained in 2016.
