Gareth Mueller

Gareth Mueller has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Gareth started their career at Minnitron Ltd as a Factory Operative involved in manufacturing and testing printed circuit boards from October 2011 to August 2012.

In 2013, Mueller joined the British Red Cross where they initially worked as an IT ServiceDesk member from May 2013 to March 2014. Gareth then transitioned to the role of Regional IT Support, responsible for managing over 30 sites and 200 people, handling tasks such as commissioning and decommissioning sites and installing internet connections, from March 2014 to August 2016. Finally, they served as a Production DBA from August 2016 to August 2018.

Currently, Mueller is associated with Calastone, where they have held multiple positions. Gareth began as an Associate Data Engineer in September 2018 and worked till July 2021. During this time, they gained expertise in various areas such as senior data engineering, data warehousing, T-SQL development, .NET C# development for ETL applications, SSIS ETL Process Design, production DBA activities, and Azure architecture and cloud migration.

Following this, Mueller progressed to the role of Head of Data Engineering from June 2022 to August 2023. Subsequently, they were promoted to the role of Director of Data Engineering in July 2023. It is important to note that Mueller's current position at Calastone is ongoing, and no end date is provided.

Gareth Mueller completed a Computer Science Masters (MSc) degree at Birkbeck, University of London from 2018 to 2021. Prior to that, they earned a Music BA Hons degree specializing in Music History, Literature, and Theory from the University of Leeds between 2007 and 2010. Gareth began their education at Chatham House Grammar School from 2000 to 2007.
