Sheryl Chaisson

Sheryl Chaisson currently serves as the Collection & Computing Services Director at Calcasieu Parish Public Library since April 2014, overseeing a branch of 20 employees and implementing improvements in workflow, procedures, and programming. Previous roles include Sulphur Regional Branch Manager and Programming Coordinator, where Sheryl coordinated community events, developed innovative programming, and supported staff in utilizing library software. Additional experience includes serving as Head of Circulation and Youth Services Facilitator at Moss Bluff Library, along with a foundation in supervisory training from Laurie Music Library. Educational achievements include a Master’s Degree in Communication and Information Studies and a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Communication from Rutgers University. Sheryl has also participated in various professional development trainings, focusing on inclusive services and project management.
