Jakob Simonds

Jakob joined Calder Capital as an intern in January of 2021 while pursuing a bachelors degree in finance with a focus on investments from Grand Valley State University. While attending Grand Valley, Jakob was heavily involved in extracurriculars acting as the CFO of the investment club, a portfolio manager for the student investment fund, and was involved in both the economic and supply chain management clubs. Jakob also competed in various case competitions.

As an intern, Jakob worked with the other analysts and associates on financial analysis, valuations, confidential marketing materials, and due diligence. After graduating in May of 2021, Jakob transitioned to a full-time position and now leads and manages the analyst team.
