Calderdale College
James Leek is a seasoned professional in the motor vehicle education and repair sector, currently serving as a Motor Vehicle Tutor Assessor at Calderdale College since July 2013. James has played a pivotal role in developing a new motor vehicle and engineering curriculum and establishing the Motivate Centre for pre-entry to level 1 students. Prior to this, James gained extensive experience at Kirklees Youth Training, where training was provided to young individuals aged 16-18 in Motor Vehicle Studies and Personal Social Development. James's earlier career included various roles in motor mechanics, body repairs, and paint spraying across different garages, with an extensive background starting from an apprentice fabricator/welder at Jespros Ltd in 1989. James holds a Certificate in Education Lifelong Learning acquired at Joseph Priestley College from 2011 to 2012.
