Anna Crooke has had a diverse range of roles in the education sector. Anna most recently served as the Director of Middle School Education at Caldwell County Schools since 2019. Prior to that, they were the School Principal at Gamewell Middle School from 2015 to 2019. Before that, they worked as an Assistant Principal at Gamewell Elementary School from 2013 to 2015. From 2011 to 2013, they held the position of Instructional Facilitator at Caldwell County Schools, providing support to teachers and administrators. Anna began their career in education as a teacher at William Lenoir Middle School in 2001, where they taught Math and Science and took on leadership roles such as Math Department Chairperson and School Improvement Team Chairperson. Prior to that, they taught high school math at West Caldwell High School from 1998 to 2001 and served as the Varsity and Junior Varsity Cheerleading Sponsor.

Anna Crooke attended Western Carolina University from 1994 to 1998, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Middle Grades Education. Anna then went on to attend Appalachian State University from 2000 to 2002, earning a Master's degree in Middle Grades Education. In 2011 to 2012, Anna pursued further education at Appalachian State University and completed a License in School Administration with a focus on Elementary and Middle School Administration/Principalship.
