Dr. Andy Roberts is a Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers with extensive experience in the rail and automotive sectors. Currently serving as Fleet Engineering Manager at Caledonian Sleeper, Dr. Roberts oversees the engineering integrity of the MkV sleeper fleet, focusing on maintenance optimization and stakeholder management. Prior roles include Engineering Standards and Assurance Manager, Principal Consultant at SNC-Lavalin Rail & Transit, and Research Engineer at Jaguar Land Rover. Dr. Roberts holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nottingham, demonstrating a strong foundation in engineering disciplines and significant contributions to safety management and assurance in rolling stock.
