Grant Holly

Grant Holly currently serves as a Senior Data Reliability Engineer at Calendly, where efforts focus on founding a data reliability engineering team to enhance database performance, reliability, and scalability. With extensive experience since 2016 as a co-leader of the Portland PostgreSQL User Group, Grant previously held roles at MariaDB as a Senior Performance Engineer and Sr Site Reliability Engineer, emphasizing in-depth database performance analysis and the development of a multi-cloud Database as a Service platform. Prior engagements include positions at New Relic, Inc., iovation Inc., PDX Code Guild, Training Experts, Inc., and Lower Columbia College, demonstrating a diverse skill set in software and data engineering, technical training, and mathematics instruction. Grant holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington State University (2003-2007).
