Ed Orzetti is the current Operating Partner at Calera Capital. Prior to this, they were the CEO of Transtar Industries from January 2015 to December 2017. Ed was hired by FFL Partners to lead the turnaround and restructuring of North America’s largest manufacturer and distributor of quality driveline parts and services to the aftermarket transmission industry. Before Transtar, Orzetti served as the President & CEO of Keystone Automotive Operations from January 2006 to December 2014. Ed was hired by Bain Capital and served through sales to Platinum Equity and LKQ (NASDAQ: LKQ). Prior to Keystone, Orzetti was the President, Global Lab Business at VWR from January 2004 to December 2006, and President, Fluid & Power at Textron from January 2000 to December 2004. Ed began their career at GE, where they served as General Manager from January 1995 to December 2000.
Ed Orzetti started their educational career by obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point. After working for a few years, they decided to return to school to get their Master's degree. Ed obtained a Master of Science in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General from Central Michigan University. Finally, they obtained their MBA in Operations Management and Strategy from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
