Mahyar Alinejad is an experienced professional in the fields of human resources and employment services, currently serving as the Manager of Employment Related Services & Programs at the Calgary Catholic Immigration Society since June 2022. In this role, Mahyar leads a team of Employment Counsellors to facilitate the integration of immigrants and refugees into the Canadian workforce through counseling and workshops. Previously, Mahyar was the HR Leader for the Middle East and Africa at Straumann Group, focusing on corporate culture, talent management, and employee engagement strategies. With extensive experience at LG Electronics, including roles such as Head of Human Resources and Deputy Manager of Mobile Service, Mahyar has expertise in recruitment, training, and organizational development. Mahyar's educational background includes a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in the same field from Dr. Shariaty Technical University.

The Calgary Catholic Immigration Society provides settlement and integration services to all immigrants and refugees in Southern Alberta. We are a community leader with over 40 years of solid experience in the design and delivery of comprehensive resettlement and integration services to refugees and immigrants. We pride ourselves in delivering these services through a dynamic multidenominational, multicultural, multilingual and multidisciplinary team of professionals, who collectively speak over 70 languages. This diversity enables us to provide our clients and the community with optimum assistance. We have over 1,500 volunteers who devote their time to helping newcomers. We offer a wide variety of specialized services that were designed to aid and enhance the integration process. Our mission is, in partnership, we empower immigrants and refugees to successfully resettle and integrate. Our vision is to create a society where immigrants and refugees can reach their potential.
