Brennan McVeigh has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Brennan started their career as an Engineering Student at Compass Minerals and Weyerhaeuser in 2005. In 2006, they worked as a Maintenance Engineer at Iron Ore Company of Canada and also served as a Manager at dalhousie Students Union. From 2009 to 2011, Brennan worked with PCL Construction as a Mechanical Coordinator, specializing in quantity surveying, 3D scheduling, drafting, and design of formwork and falsework. In 2011, they transitioned to the role of Field Engineer at PCL Construction, gaining experience in quantity surveying and design. Brennan then joined MJS Mechanical in 2012 as a Project Manager, overseeing various projects until 2013. Brennan then worked at Trotter and Morton as a Project Manager until the end of 2014. Since 2014, Brennan has been with Calgary Catholic School District, initially as an Assistant Director in Plant Operations & Maintenance. In May 2019, they were promoted to the position of Director, Operations and Maintenance. In this role, they are responsible for the maintenance and operations of 118 sites encompassing 6 million sqft of real estate, including planning and scheduling of summer maintenance programs.
Brennan McVeigh has a solid educational background in engineering. Brennan began their education in 1999 at RHS, where they presumably completed high school. Following their graduation, they attended Cape Breton University from 2002 to 2004, where they earned a diploma in Engineering. Subsequently, Brennan pursued their Bachelor's degree in Engineering at Dalhousie University from 2004 to 2007, specializing in Mechanical Engineering. Furthermore, Brennan has obtained the certification of Professional Engineer (P.Eng) from The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).
