Stephen Shirt

Stephen Shirt possesses extensive experience in the legal and social services sectors, currently serving as a Justice Navigator and Legal Services Officer at Legal Aid Alberta since August 2015. In addition, Stephen has worked as an Emergency Shelter Worker at the Calgary Drop In & Rehab Centre Society since November 2020. Previous roles include Helpline Counsellor at FearIsNotLove and Indigenous Criminal Courtworker at Native Counselling Services of Alberta. Early career experience includes a position as a Correctional Intern with the Correctional Service of Canada in late 2013. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Mount Royal University, earned between 2009 and 2014.
