Daniel Manzano has extensive experience in hospitality and entertainment, currently serving in East Engagement, Activation & Street Team at Calgary Municipal Land Corporation since February 2021. As the Founder and Owner of D.E.M Entertainment Group since September 2019, Daniel has demonstrated entrepreneurial skills in the entertainment sector. Previous roles include Server Assistant at Major Tom Bar from July 2022 to January 2024 and Front Desk Agent at Alt Hotel Calgary East Village from May 2019 to September 2019. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Hospitality Management from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, completed between 2018 and 2022.

WHO WE ARE Calgary Municipal Land Corporation (CMLC) is a passionate team of urban placemakers; we are city-builders devoted to making Calgary a better place to live. HISTORY CMLC was incorporated in 2007 as a wholly owned subsidiary of the City of Calgary with the mandate to achieve the City's objectives for urban densification and community renewal, infrastructure investment and placemaking – both within and outside the Rivers District. WHAT WE DO Over the past decade, CMLC has rebuilt East Village from the ground up. Through public infrastructure improvements, strategic placemaking and enthusiastic programming, we have breathed new life into downtown Calgary’s east end. With East Village standing proudly as a testament to our talents in visioning, redevelopment, placemaking, programming and relationship-building, we’ve extended our efforts into the further reaches of the Rivers District. We have now turned our attention to creating a vision for east Victoria Park through the Rivers District Master Plan.
