Ron Brown

Ron Brown is an experienced operations manager with a robust background in venue management and logistics across various industries. Currently serving as the Operations Manager at The Calgary Stampede since May 1994, Ron oversees the operations of a 4,600-person capacity live entertainment and food & beverage venue, focusing on profit and loss, scheduling, training, and inventory control. Additionally, since March 2021, Ron has been the Senior Lodge Manager at Dexterra Group, where responsibilities include managing multiple site operations related to lodging, catering, logistics, and guest services. Previous roles as a Management Consultant involved contract work across numerous hospitality venues, while also co-owning the food and beverage establishment Tugs Taphouse in Penticton, BC, until its closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Ron holds an MBA in Business Administration and Management from McGill University and has studied at the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
