Eric Gersen

Eric Gersen is a multifaceted music professional with a rich portfolio in composition, production, and education. Currently serving as the Associate Music Director, Composer, and Producer for Story Pirates since November 2011, Eric has collaborated with prominent artists such as John Oliver and Lin-Manuel Miranda. Additionally, Eric composes music for the #1 Sleep and Meditation App, Calm, and serves as the Lead Composer for the "Game On" podcast hosted by Steph Curry. Since November 2016, Eric has contributed as a composer for Improv Everywhere's "Spontaneous Musicals" and is a musical improv teacher at Squirrel Theatre. Eric's teaching experience extends from The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre to KIPP NYC, where responsibilities included musical direction and accompaniment for student productions. Eric holds a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies from Vassar College and a Professional Certificate in Composing and Producing Electronic Music from Berklee College of Music.
