Michael Picker is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in energy policy and strategic consulting. Currently serving as a Partner at Caliber Strategies since April 2020, Michael previously held key roles such as Senior Advisor at the California Department of Finance and President of the California Public Utilities Commission. As a former Senior Advisor for Renewable Energy Facilities under Governors Jerry Brown and Arnold Schwarzenegger, Michael played a pivotal role in the siting and permitting of utility-scale renewable energy projects. Additional experience includes serving on the Board of Directors for the Sacramento Municipal Utility District and a long history in strategic communications through Lincoln Crow Strategic Communications. Michael holds multiple MBA degrees from the University of California, Davis, alongside a Bachelor’s degree from Immaculate Heart College.
