Paolo Pirjanian

Paolo Pirjanian is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Embodied, Inc. since February 2017 and serves as a Venture Partner at Calibrate Ventures, also since February 2021. In addition, Paolo Pirjanian has been a Board Member for Happiest Baby, Inc. since January 2017 and previously held board roles at Exyn Technologies Inc. and Intuition Robotics, where advisory contributions supported multiple financing rounds. A former Chief Technology Officer at iRobot from October 2012 to October 2015, Paolo Pirjanian played a pivotal role in restructuring R&D teams and enhancing product development processes. Prior experience includes leading Evolution Robotics as CEO until its acquisition by iRobot, conducting research in robotics at NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab, and teaching artificial intelligence at the University of Southern California. Paolo Pirjanian holds a PhD in Robotics from Aalborg University, which was attended from 1994 to 1998.
