Aanand Varanasi

Aanand Varanasi has over 25 years of experience in the human resources industry. Aanand is currently a partner at Calibre One, a global executive search firm based in San Jose. Prior to joining Calibre One, Aanand served as advisor at Palantir Technologies, a data analytics company, from June 2010 to July 2012. Aanand also served as Vice President of Human Resources at Medallia, Inc., a customer experience management company, from January 2010 to December 2012.

Aanand's experience also includes a role as Senior Director of Human Resources at Hewlett-Packard/Palm, where they drove and participated in HP's acquisition of Palm in January 2009. Aanand remained with HP until December 2010 before joining VMware as Senior Director of Human Resources - Global Talent Acquisition in January 2011. Aanand stayed with VMware until December 2009 when they accepted a position as Director of Staffing at Unitek. Aanand remained with Unitek until December 2001 when they were recruited by HTC Research as their Recruiting & Research Manager.

Aanand Varanasi's educational career began at UC San Diego, where they studied biology and economics. Aanand then went on to St. Paul Academy, Marshall University, and Notre Dame de Namur University. Aanand has also been certified by Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner and by Sun Microsystems in Programming Using Java.
