C.D. Moore

C.D. Moore is the Chief Operating Officer for Caliburn International, and as such is responsible for the successful execution of the company’s business operations. Mr. Moore served in the United States Air Force (USAF) for nearly 35 years and reached the rank of Lieutenant General. He has operations experience leading large organizations and complex aerospace programs. As the first Commander of the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, he built a new organization responsible for acquisition and product support for all USAF aircraft, engines, munitions, and electronic/cyber systems. Mr. Moore served in the Pentagon as Director of Special Programs in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, deployed to Baghdad during Operation Iraqi Freedom, and is an accomplished experimental test pilot with more than 3,000 hours in 30+ aircraft types. Before joining Caliburn, he worked as a senior consultant and business owner as well as a board member for a variety of corporate and not-for-profit organizations. Mr. Moore consulted for government and aerospace industry clients on strategic planning, organizational change management, business development, manufacturing, software development, and analytics. He serves on the board of directors for the Air Force Museum Foundation, the National Aviation Heritage Alliance, and the Wright State Applied Research Corporation. As a Guggenheim Fellow, he earned an M.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from Columbia University. Mr. Moore also received an M.S. in national resource strategy from The Industrial College of the Armed Forces (National Defense University), and B.S. degrees in aeronautical engineering and political science from the United States Air Force Academy.
