In 2009, Eli was a Class Facilitator for the UCSC Student Directed Seminar - The Culture and Community of the Bicycle. They also served as a Microfinance Apprentice at Global Brigades, Inc., where they spoke at community meetings and delivered workshops to support local entrepreneurs.

Eli Vining, MBA, MPA, has an extensive education history. From 2014 to 2017, Eli attended Presidio Graduate School, where they earned both an MBA and an MPA with a specialization in Sustainable Management. Prior to their graduate studies, from 2006 to 2011, Eli pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Global Economics and Comparative Politics at the University of California, Santa Cruz. In 2009, they also had a brief academic experience at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, studying International Relations.
