Paul Waldrop has held a variety of roles throughout their career. Paul began their professional journey in 1982 as a Fire Control Technician in the US Navy, where they served as a member of the on-board nuclear weapons security team and was deployed in the Mediterranean Sea. In 1985, they joined the US Navy Reserves in the same role. From 1991 to 1995, they worked as an Equipment Engineer at Rochester Institute of Technology, where they developed processes for and maintained semiconductor equipment. Paul then joined Eastman Kodak Company as a Plasma Etch Process Engineer from 1995 to 1998. In 1998, Paul joined Kionix, Inc. as a Fabrication Manager, where they were the 12th employee hired and was responsible for developing plasma etching processes and operational procedures. In 2000, Paul moved to Calient Optical Components, Inc. as the General Manager and Director of Operations until 2004. From 2006 to 2015, they were the Director of Supplier Operations at Rheonix, Inc., where they improved the efficiencies of the supply chain and worked directly with the VP of Intellectual Property and Licensing. In 2020, Paul became the Project Manager for the Fuzion Product Line at Universal Instruments Corporation. Most recently, in 2022, Paul joined CALIENT Technologies Inc. as the General Manager of MEMS.
Paul Waldrop obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Rochester Institute of Technology between 1988 and 1991. Paul then continued their studies at the same institution, graduating with a Master's of Engineering in Microelectronics Manufacturing Engineering in 1996.
