Mathew Lau

Mathew Lau is an experienced finance professional with a robust background in financial management and business analytics. Currently serving as the Director of Finance at the California Academy of Sciences since October 2018, Lau has previously held significant positions including Senior Manager of Finance & Business Analytics at the Public Library of Science from March 2012 to October 2018, and various roles at AAA Northern California, Nevada & Utah from 2004 to 2011, including Senior Finance Manager and Manager of Business Analysis. Lau began a career in finance at EMI Music, where roles included Manager of FP&A and Senior Business Analyst from 1999 to 2003. Lau holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from UC San Diego, obtained in 1997.
