Roberta Ayres is an experienced education consultant with a focus on science education and biodiversity initiatives. Currently serving as an Education Consultant for the Gulf of Guinea Biodiversity Project at the California Academy of Sciences since 2007, Roberta develops, edits, and translates educational materials into Portuguese. As the Naturalist Center Program Manager, Roberta oversees the development and delivery of educational programs related to the Academy's exhibits and sustainability efforts while managing staff and volunteers. Previous roles include Aquatic Educator and SF Bay 2K Education Coordinator, where Roberta was responsible for public programming and research education initiatives. Roberta holds a Master of Science in Science Education from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology with Teaching Certification from Mackenzie University in São Paulo, Brazil.
