John Montgomery

John Montgomery has an extensive background in student services and spiritual leadership, currently serving as the Associate Vice President for Student Services and Dean of Spiritual Life at California Baptist University since September 2006. Montgomery's prior experience includes holding the position of Executive Pastor and Minister of Worship at Immanuel Baptist Church from August 1998 to September 2006, as well as roles such as Associate Pastor of Worship at Rose Drive Baptist Church and Worship Pastor at Temple Baptist Church. Additionally, Montgomery was a member and officer on the Board of Trustees at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary from June 2011 to May 2021. Academically, Montgomery holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Leadership from Dallas Baptist University, a Master of Divinity from The Master's Seminary, and two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Voice and Opera from Grand Canyon University and Communications, Media Production from Oklahoma Baptist University.
