Casey Taylor, a Paradise native, is the product of both private and public schools. Growing up she was an “at-risk” youth and believes her community, her faith, and the individualized attention she received at her small elementary school empowered her to beat the "at-risk" odds.
Casey earned her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies at Westmont College and her Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential from CSU Chico. Personal life experiences convinced her that small community, high expectations and individualized learning was a highly effective schooling model. In 2005 she worked alongside a group of educators, community members and founding families seeking to provide this choice in education. Serving as ACS's Principal since its opening to 2017, Casey was an integral part of the vision, creation and design of Achieve Charter School. Achieve is unique, it is a direct reflection of Casey’s leadership. She has built a positive atmosphere of learning, rich in student ownership of education and parent/school partnership.
