Gregory McGinity

Chief Civic Affairs Officer at CALIFORNIA CHARTER SCHOOLS ASSOCIATION

Gregory is Senior Vice President for Civic Affairs and serves as Executive Director of CCSA Advocates, which supports California nonprofit charter school community. CCSA Advocates engages in efforts to provide education and resources to help more charter schools increase civic participation, including youth civic engagement. Previously, Gregory served as the Executive Director of The Eli and Edythe Broad Foundation. While at the Foundation, Gregory took a leave of absence to serve as the Chief of Staff to the California Secretary of Education. Prior to joining the Foundation, Gregory was the Senior Education Policy Consultant to the California State Board of Education and served on the legislative staffs of two Members of Congress. Gregory also served a Legislative Liaison in the Office of Legislative and Congressional Affairs at the U.S. Department of Education. Gregory previously served as a member of the Los Angeles County Board of Education. He received his BA from UC Berkeley and his MBA from UCLA Anderson.
