Nakia Wilson

Nakia is CCSA's Senior Director, Conference and Events and part of the school's team. She manages all conceptual, production, and operational aspects of CCSA events – creating unique and inspiring experiences to enhance and communicate CCSA member value. The portfolio of events ranges in size and purpose from intimate networking events, to virtual and in-person mid-sized member convenings, to the annual 3,000+ person conference.” She has over 20 years of experience in the events industry.

Prior to joining CCSA, Nakia was the Deputy Director of Conferences and Trainings for the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities in Washington, DC. There she managed several annual conferences for the State Fiscal Policy team's network of over 40 tax and budget policy organizations across the country.

In her spare time, Nakia volunteers with several foundations to provide youth outreach services that cultivate the next generation of responsible leaders by providing educational enrichment, mentoring, and life transformation skills. She also loves knitting and crafting. She is a 6th generation native Washingtonian and holds a B.A. in Sociology and Psychology from Howard University.
