Rusty Hicks

Rusty Hicks is the current Chair of the California Democratic Party, a role held since June 2019. Recently a candidate for the California State Assembly in District 2, Rusty Hicks is committed to serving the North Coast community through impactful public service. Previous experience includes leadership positions such as President and Political Director at the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO from 2006 to 2019, and roles as District Director and Legislative Assistant in the California State Assembly from 2004 to 2006. Rusty Hicks has a Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Austin College. Additionally, Rusty Hicks has participated in prestigious fellowships, including the Coro Southern California program and the Dunn Fellowship in the Illinois Office of the Governor.
