Christine Chuang is a legal professional with extensive experience in civil rights enforcement and advocacy. Currently serving as Supervising Deputy Attorney General in the Civil Rights Enforcement Section at the California Department of Justice since November 2018, Chuang oversees civil rights investigations, litigation, and policy matters for the State of California. Prior to this role, Chuang worked as a Deputy Attorney General in the Bureau of Children's Justice, focusing on civil rights laws and children's advocacy, and served as a Senior Staff Attorney at Disability Rights Advocates, where impact litigation for people with disabilities was a key responsibility. Earlier in the career, Chuang gained experience as an Attorney at Latham & Watkins, managing complex business litigation and antitrust matters. Chuang earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science and Psychology from the University of Michigan.
