Paul Chander

Deputy Attorney General - Antitrust Section at California Department of Justice

Paul Chander is a Deputy Attorney General in the Antitrust Section at the California Department of Justice, responsible for enforcing California and federal antitrust laws through merger reviews, investigations, and litigation. In addition to this role since June 2024, Paul serves as an Adjunct Professor at USC Gould School of Law, teaching Constitutional Law. Prior to these positions, Paul gained extensive experience as a Senior Associate at Baker McKenzie, where representation of clients in securities and complex commercial litigation occurred alongside advising on government investigations involving antitrust and white-collar issues. Paul also worked as an Associate at Squire Patton Boggs, handling complex commercial and consumer litigation, and as a Judicial Law Clerk for several judges at the Los Angeles Superior Court. Paul Chander holds a Doctor of Law degree from Columbia Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from UCLA.
