Randall Zack

Randall Zack is a Deputy Attorney General at the California Department of Justice, a position held since August 2023. Previously, Randall served as Deputy County Counsel at the Office of the County Counsel in Santa Clara County and as an Adjunct Professor at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, focusing on legal writing and critical thinking for new law students. Extensive experience includes working as a Senior Associate at Morrison & Foerster LLP, where Randall acted as counsel in securities litigation and managed various aspects of litigation. Judicial clerkships include time with the Honorable Robin S. Rosenbaum at the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the Honorable Phyllis Hamilton at the US District Court for the Northern District of California. Randall co-founded Zac Squared Chocolate, a small-batch chocolate company, and has also contributed as a Research Assistant at the University of Chicago Law School.
