Stacy Lau is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in environmental law and advocacy. Currently serving as a Deputy Attorney General in the Environmental Justice & Protection Section of the California Department of Justice since May 2022, Stacy Lau previously worked as a Deputy Attorney for the California Department of Transportation from February 2010 to May 2022, where responsibilities included representing the state in environmental and appellate cases and providing legal advice to executives. Prior experience includes serving as a Volunteer Housing Attorney at Bay Area Legal Aid, representing low-income families, and working as a Judicial Clerk for The Honorable Norma L. Shapiro in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, managing federal cases and drafting court opinions. Stacy Lau holds a Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Harvard Law School and a Bachelor’s Degree in Public and International Affairs from Princeton University.
