Andy Tate, CEG, is an experienced engineering geologist with a strong background in managing and executing geologic exploration and construction projects. Currently serving as Section Manager and Supervising Engineering Geologist at the California Department of Water Resources since October 2011, Andy co-manages a team of 30 geologists. Prior roles include Senior Engineering Geologist and Engineering Geologist, where responsibilities encompassed leading teams, conducting geologic explorations, and supporting project design and emergency response efforts. Previously, at the Bureau of Reclamation from April 2007 to October 2011, Andy managed significant geologic projects, ensuring the successful investigation and analysis for large civil engineering undertakings. Andy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of Northern Iowa, earned in 2006.
